You just found out the person sitting next to you is going to be unwound. Come up with ten good reasons why they should NOT be.

(1)First of all I don't think that being unwound should be legal.(2)second of all he is my best friend. (3)And does not deserve it.(4)next he is the  nicest person i have met.(5)Then he not violent at all would not hurt a fly.(6)Next he is the most outgoing person I  know.  (7)Next he is the sensitive boy i know.(8)He is my person to talk to if i need a friend.(9)Because he has no trates of an unwind.(10)lastly he is a good person in all and he is my friend.

Unwind DQ 2

Risa is assigned to play in a band at a Harvest Camp, performing upbeat tunes while teens are marched to their unwinding. Risa is conflicted: she knows playing in the band will keep her alive longer, but it’s at the expense of others, and her joy at having her fingers on a piano is matched by the horror of knowing what’s going on around her. How would you feel in this situation? Would you accept the position? Are there any situations in history similar to this?

I think it has its ups and downs. Like in the book when Risa has to see her boyfriend (Connor) be brought to his unwinding. The you live longer topic is an up and a down. It depends do you want to be unwound and get it over with or take your time. But if you wait things like clappers could happen and you could live your life. It’s good that she is doing what she loves before she dies so that is an up. I would accept the position to live longer and plot and escape. I don’t think this is like anything else in the book because there is never so much mass death when you’re playing happy.

Imagine that you are approached to join the Clappers, the novel’s futuristic terrorists. How would you respond? What would you tell them?

If I were approached by clappers I would be scared. I would not want to be one because its suicide but I would also be scared what would happen if I turned them down. If it was for the greater good like blowing up an unwinding facility than I might. Also if I was going to be unwound than I would because it’s either die for a bigger cause or die for everyone else. I wouldn’t if I was in Levs position then I would not because I’m safe and no one can really unwind me at the graveyard.

Extension Activity for Week 3

What "Pep Talk" has does your novel give to readers?

The Pep Talk the book unwind gives to the readers are that the children have rights too don't use them and take over the children. Because in the book Connors , Risa and Lev are getting unwounded  by there parents and they didn't even tell Connors, Risa or Lev. The children has to have the rights to know that they are be unwounded and they should talk first with there child before they are sign the paper. The other pep talk the author said was about the future that the government is gong to get worse that it is and it is saying that they might have unwinding in the future. I think this will happend cause of war form now we might have more wars that might get us to this state and our democracy will change and be strict which we will not be able to control

How would you act when CyFi approached you and asked you to stop eating the garbage? I would have acted different if a person like CyFi came up to mean and asked not to eat the garbage I would've freaked out and ran away. I would of probably act like Lev first act when he meet with Risa and Connor. I would of had the feeling to run away looking back to see if he is not following me what if he finds out i am an unwound and he runs and tells someone. I probably keep thinking about what would of happen if I stayed.
